Thanks. I remember hearing about the rubber lift. I could try that. Any suggestions for size or material to start with?

You could find... oh lets say a 1/2 maybe 5/8 aluminum rod and bolt it all the way across the platform somehow. Might even be able to make it adjustable somehow. Might make it 5 lbs tho.
Great solution! Do you mind taking a couple of close up pics of the new bolt mod? Would really help to see what you did, the video did not give me a good look, thanks
Your welcome. It's our favorite climbing method especially for public. We do use sticks when as well. Watever it takes.
When using sticks, do you ever use this as your platform?
Also, are you putting anything around it to help with side pressure?

You could do that if you want. The hand climber is just so light, a simple light weight strap works perfectly. Hell, you could step in gum and it would stick to your feet lol
Well done @Adrena123 I recently picked up a hand climber for next season, with this mod and the others it looks like a great option to climb and use a platform all in 1. you and @bongo have really made great videos showing how this works! Thanks for the time and effort!
GotchaI suppose you think I'm talking about foot stirrup. Not. Did you see what I was responding to?
Someone asked if he could do something other than drill his climber and install bolts.
I simply said you could anchor a rod across it to take place of the bolts sticking out behond the frame. Maybe even make it adjustable for going up tapered trees.
That’s awesome you have just sold me on what method I’m going to use
