Long Distance Archery or TAC Practice

That’s the actual M48. They sell the rebuild kit but you could make the frame easy. I got the target from a shop I used to work at. We used them outside on the practice range.

New development in my long range shooting. I think my windage adjustment isn’t working. It explains why I can’t fix my right hit. So frustrating this close to season.

Just because I like to make myself crazy. Last minute arrow set up change. Still Airstrike 300, trad 600 insert, nock collar and X nock. I went from a heavy helical 3 fletch to 4 fletch with about 1.5” helical. They flew extremely well and the 4 TAC 2.75 Drivers are crazy quiet.

I recently made the switch to the Air Strike arrows. Loving them so far. Two different setups and tunes for two different purposes, one with 340s and the other with 250s.

Nice shooting gents! Here’s my hunting setup for this season. Shots were at 25 and 40 yards. Not really long distance but I’m pleased to say the highs and lows are purposeful. Now to Broadheads!!! Here I was trying out both the 3 and 4 fletch zingers. I think I’m going 4 fletch this season. 476gr. TAW. 27” c2c, 100gr. brass inserts, 100gr. Tips. Standard Victory nocks. Going to go up to my long range target soon.

I haven’t been doing too much long distance stuff. Still getting all the pins dialed in for the fixed yardage. It’s also been stupid weather lately. Anyone else getting out?

Ice fishing ended way too early this year so I have built a dz tac arrows that are inexpensive and about 90 gn lighter than what I hunt with. I dialed in my sight for the faster arrow and then the weather went to hell. Since the weather turned against me I haven't had a chance to practice beyond 10 yds in my basement. The good news is I am ready so once the weather breaks I will be able to start practicing. I should be about a month ahead of where I was last year. So far I have been able to resist the temptation of the Canyon Pounder and now the I have my MBG set up for my tac arrow I think I am safe.
