That’s cool they are 4” out kind eliminates the need for a double step, the water jet marks give it a 3D tree bark effect. No shine, look slick

Well if you like the look... wanna buy them?...:p

Looking at the tree brackets it's really obvious the Beast sticks will grab way better on the tree. The LWCG look like just the tip of the bracket touches the bark. The added distance from the tree creates a sharper angle on the bracket resulting in less surface area contact. I will say the Beast sticks grab exceptionally well and almost too good at times. Quite often I remove the strap and the stick is still stuck to the tree. Dan put a lot of work into that to make them better than anything currently on the market.

That’s the advantage to the rotating brackets. They spin to ensure 4 points of contact at all times. On wonky trees last year the beast sticks were not getting 4 points of contact until they flexed when I stepped on them.

However... I can see the lengthened bracket on the lwcg adding a ton of torque to that bolt. Probably why they went with 5/16” bolts. Probably shear 1/4-20 right off.

After using the beast sticks all last season. I really hate the fiddle factor of turning steps and bark biters to pack out.

Honestly I never saw an advantage with rotating brackets on the original Lone Wolf sticks. On trees that were really crooked even though the brackets rotated that didn't always ensure full contact with the tree like you would think. I bent many bolts and even broke a few v-brackets due to all the torque going to one side of the bracket. In the last two seasons I have yet to find a tree the Beast brackets haven't held completely secure even without full contact. Never flexed and not one single bit of damage to the stick in any way.

They all sprung back to shape. Never said they were damaged or not solid once set. They do flex. I do think the beast sticks are the best sticks on the market. Now that I have tried every set of sticks made I can honestly say that....

The deep water jet marks are just nature of the beast going with that method of manufacturing. There using high fees rate because it’s just for weight removal no need for cosmetics. We do the same thing with aircraft parts for weight savings.

Beast sticks are built with tight tolerances that’s were your moneys going. Being a tool and die maker I appreciate that dan went with super tight tolerances on everything with his sticks. I would love to see the blue prints between lwcg and beast stick I’m sure that would sway everyone’s choice between the two. Tight tolerances equal more strength no movement, sticks built to last a lifetime. Can’t wait to see what both sticks look like after 10 seasons

At $80-$90 per stick LWCG could had paid for better edge quality. The sticks I am looking at in front of me are cut with a through cut coulda slowed that machine down and got a much cleaner cut. They are ugly and the reasoning behind it is just marketing BS. It was to save money....period!

Totally agree with this post 100%. A lot went in to making the beast sticks and they will last a lifetime. I hate to see people even try to compare the two because it’s nowhere near apples to apples.

As far as blue prints.... Looks like one was drawn up on a napkin..

I didn’t have a dog in the fight until you tossed AutoCad into the ring now I’m thinking about jumping in and getting a few licks in on that horse

The guys that got them on the hunting beast are not impressed. There a pic of them stacking really sloppy and like what was said before the water jet cuts are rough. Very poor quality for the price. Andre and lwcg are really getting a lot of heat their product.
The biggest thing is that they weight much much more that they said they would during the pre-order. Now they’ve changed the weights on their website to reflect the actual weights that the sticks re coming in at. Plus they added a bunch of lawyer mumbo jumbo wording to say they are not responsible for lying to all the hunters that took advantage of the pre-order thinking that they were ordering some light, and ground breaking mobile hunting equipment. The sticks are actually heavier than the original lone wolf sticks.
The beast has a pretty extensive thread on this whole topic/issue.

That’s what I heard. Sad.

I asked LWCG a few questions as my order should be shipping any day. The restocking fee is after 2 weeks of delivery. So that helped me to not cancel my order. Also they offered to cover my return shipping if I decide to return them. Also had a few reasons for added weight. My expectations and excitement have been curbed and I’m now hoping for the best.

Just went out and practiced these sticks. They’re pretty much awesome. I weighed an old (long) stick at 2.27 and the new lone wolf cg was 2.44 lbs. Everything about the new sticks, I will gladly lug the extra .68 lbs with 4 sticks to gain all the other features. I hang and hunt and tear down every hunt just about.

Does the area where the step stops on both sides of the stick look like it will hold up?
