I have an ATC and Marmut 2.0 if someone wants to try rappelling on them. I'm sure someone will have a safe guard. @Horn mentioned setting up a rappelling station. If your new and nervous to try it, I got enough rope we can run a belay system.
I have a madrock and a GriGri if people want to try different devices.

I've got a few platforms and sticks. I'll bring my 2tc stuff, which I will admit isn't going to be for everyone but it is honestly rated and safe. I'll bring a figure 8 too so I think that's most ways to rappel.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to seeing y'all next weekend!

I'll have a Safeguard and will try to remember to throw in a GriGri if someone wants to compare.

EDIT: Sorry @Andrew920 , I missed your post. :tearsofjoy:

Well, be new to this I know I have to work on 2 tc which was the first time I ever tried and tried it three times with frustration I know it is a learning curve and have to get it turned in. I like someone to help me a little on that. But on the other hand, I tried SRT for the very first time never done it before with a hand ascender, a longhorn agile hitch and the Garda foot loop and it worked pretty well .I Got work to do going down, though , I stumbled a little bit, but I managed , so all in all it was a good day. I did it three times about 15 feet.

I’m not sure if anyone is interested, but I posted a pair of Sitka Fanatic bibs(size large)in the classifieds. Willing to drop the price to $300 since it would save me shipping and I’d just bring them to the meet up.

I can bring some SRT tools to give people a taste of using a couple of different hybrid devices and share my go to system. I can bring a couple of rec saddles and set up 2 ropes to allow an introduction using foot ascenders . How long do these events go into the day. Also where is the meeting area as I have only camped there one time? Thanks for any info.

We've been meeting back in the horse trailer parking (saddle hunters :tearsofjoy: ). Stay on the main drag past the main campgrounds and the horse parking lot sign and exit will be on your right. We gather at the end of that road. Look forward to seeing everyone again!

I would like to see other platform attachment methods. I will refresh @boyne bowhunter hitch he used. I had a moment tonight I tried it on a small tree. Hard to tell based on the small tree I put it on, and funky angel down towards the bottom. But if anyone has other ideas other than the cam factory strap. Please share.

I'll be bringing my platform and will happily demonstrate the timber hitch platform attachment. Still my favorite means to attach my platform to the tree.

I think I've got some HFAS, both sizes. I better make a list, that CRS is setting in already lol

Hopefully the rain holds off and it's not to windy.

Also any one interested in a mini pot luck?? I consider making a pot of chili. Nothing fancy, can't promise it would be good. But it will be over lunch time. If we want to take 5 for a bowl?

Thank you guys for the invitation, I would really love to go down and meet everyone. My son has an apartment pretty close to there so I'd have a great excuse to go visit him and crash on his couch. I won't be able to make this one, though. My son is actually coming up that day to spend some time with my wife and I for Mother's Day, and also plans to introduce us to his new lady. She must be special. Please keep me in mind for future get togethers, I'd love to bring a grill- or the smoker- and cook for everyone.

I’d be happy to eat your chilli. If someone has a small grill I’d be happy to donate a couple pounds of ground venison to make burgers.
