This may have been done before but I thought it was a good idea, I'm using a large tic tac container.

I use a rubber medical glove, stuff the finger and tie it then cut it off. Make a small slit in the end and it only lets small amounts out at once. Not to mention it packs super easy and quiet

Any issues in the rain? Will it stay dry or be wet for a week.

I do similar, except I remove the chain and replace with long paracord. I loop it to my belt and have enough length to hold the pouch and more importantly, put it in a pocket if it does rain.

And I like the blaze orange. I have lost a few in the woods before I got the blaze orange and tethered to my belt.

The game warden down here would be SOOOO excited if he saw that little baggie on my dashboard. Once he found out what it was, he'd probably write me a ticket just for getting his hopes up!

Found a nice cat tail today that has the same qualities as milk weed.Going to give it a try.

They are a lot heavier than milkweed. They will still give you the general idea, but won’t float on the wind the same. The milkweed will just literally hang on the wind.

Well I had my 1st hunt of the year and I got rained on for 45mins or so. I just tucked it inside my pack and it is still good to go. I do like the paracord idea though. I'm not able to use it while I am carrying my pack.
