Muddy pro sticks pros and cons?

Me too, tightening up the bolts helps with this, but it needs to be done way too frequently, IMO.
I'm no engineer but in looking at the design it seems to me like the bolts are not the issue, though tightening could help for sure. The step mount seems to be designed too wide for the width of the stick.

I probably will just disassemble it and try the stealth strips to see if that fills the void and stops the issue.

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I don't mind the standoffs moving. What freaks me is that the steps see-saw back and forth about 1/8 of an inch or so.

Gotcha! Yup I noticed that too now that you mention it, and the tightening I had to do to minimize it. It got to the point that the upright tube was crushing a tad. The new ones are GTG but the used set... not so good.

Be careful with that. I did same thing and munged up / hamfisted putting them back together and messed up the step portions. I got free replacements (had to return originals), but that was before the change in owners of Muddy.

For me, Re-tightening lasts for about two hunts before slip comes back. In the steps. I am 275 lbs dry weight and your mileage might vary.
