My Cardinal Rule for Saddle Hunting

Hunting height can be imho determined by terrain or cover. You have to use judgement here. Also keep in mind we are hunting an animal who has to fight day in and day out endure the elements no matter how harsh. This is where the challenge lies. The older they get the smarter they get. They will humble even the best of hunters and in those instances we learn more than through the success.
 
I don't hear or see as good as I used to. Now days, I like to set up perimeters at 40, 30 and 20 yards yards with a good stout coat thread and hang some bells at measured intervals to give me a little heads up.
Hearing aids are necessary hunting equipment... turn them up to hear everything
