I posted my flintlock buck earlier today and figured I would share this one too. I took this one the day before I killed the flintlock buck. I got darn lucky on this one.
He was only 50 yards but when I fired the bullet hit a tree limb I didn't see in the scope. After the shot I saw the limb moving and the deer bounce off with his tail up.
I waited an hour then got down and went to the spot he was standing. To my suprize there was a massive amount of blood and I was able to easily follow the blood trail.
He made it 200 yards. The bullet had tumbled after it hit the limb and hit the deer sideways.
