My sit/drag custom progression

Hmmmm....I see, If I fell while using the lineman belt on the sit/drag, I'd be depending on the sit/drag to catch me. Dang, Back to the drawing board.

Wait, what problem are we trying to solve? I was planning to use the sit drag for my linemans belt. The only reason I was planning to add a belt to the sit drag was to keep it 'on me'. Then use the loops with my rope and ropeman when I climb. Turn that into my adjustable bridge at the top and hook up to my tether...

...have I just taken a 30 foot fall???
Use one rope system to pull double duty as lineman and bridge. Just hitch the excess back up and clip to your side once you're up and settled in. I like to use the one rope for everything, but that might not be for everybody

My whole idea of using the RC harness was to have a more secure fall arrest system. I plan to tie off with a separate tether from the harness to the tree at waist height. While climbing using the sitdrag as a linemans belt, I have to hope that it doesn't slip over my head during a fall. With a belt attached to the sitdrag its less likely that it will slip over your head because you don't have much of a free fall. You just have to depend on your stitching to hold up.
The way I had my sitdrag attached to my harness, all I had to catch me was the few stitches where the sitdrag was attached to the RC harness, and initially those stitches were only made hold up the sitdrag, not me.

Got it. Yes. From your set up with just the few little webbing straps and hand stitching, I see what you mean. I would not trust my life with that either - as you won't. I get that... just making sure I wasn't missing something critical in my thinking. I figure my stitching will hold until I'm tight and by then the sit drag will kick in... I've also given some thought to a second fall restraint to use at hunting height...
