I have a T/C Omega from 2004-05. I was using the 209 primers but then around 2010-2012 I stumbled upon this website. Precision bullets.
https://www.prbullet.com/
Prior to finding this website I was using powerbelts and pellets. I guess I got decent groups but nothing to write home about. When I stumbled on the precision website I was at the time looking at Black Mag 3 powder and at the time was the cleanest loose powder that I found...and somehow i was able to get a 1lb of it from walmart. My wife actually stopped off at mid-way in Tennessee and brought me 2 lbs of BM3 and when before they went out of business me and some guy on the internet bought 8lbs. I had it shipped to my house and sent him the other 4#. I still have about 3-4 1/2#'s of BM3 and don't think I'll ever have to change powder.
When I took the gun out I started with 110 grains of powder and a 330 grain bullet from precision. That was a total killer...Any deer I hit did not go further than 30 yards and 90% of the deer I shot was planted on the spot they died. I eventually ran out of the 330 grains and at the time I was a cheapo and lucked out and found on ebay a gun store closing it's door. They had about 30 packs of 330 grain, 20 packs of 300 grain and 10 packs of 195 grain precision bullets. I bought them all and now down to the 300 and 195 grain bullets. My load is 110 grains of Black Mag3 and a 300 grain precision bullet. I tell you all this because I spoke with the owner of the precision and he told me that the 209 does not burn all the powder in the barrel...to hot or something along those lines. Leaves a lot of residue from T7 powder. Told me about the breech plug that is designed for a pistol primer and how it burns more of the powder thus making the gun more accurate. I gave it a try and my groups did tighten up.
Here is what I have and how the 209 adds to more fouling.
