Last year I thought I was ahead of the curve ordering gear for the upcoming season in June. Turns out I was mistaken. I won't be making that mistake again. If we don't hear something within the week, it's off the list and I'll go another route.
 
I am thinking about buying a Mantis. I regret selling mine. But then I keep holding off because I want to see this one and the possibility of Tethrd releasing something new. Oh the suspense.... it’s killing me! By the time I say screw it and order a new mantis the wait is going to be so long I am going to miss half the season waiting for it again. Oh wait I have a Kestrel.... man I have issues....

That is a good point. If I dont hear anything soon, Im not letting my season ride on a sewing company.

I said screw it and just got a mantis since I dont have a saddle yet. If it is that good ill buy it for next season ( like ive heard guys say before on here)
 
Well, I already have a primary saddle, just looking at picking up a different backup, but I can guarantee I won't be in season waiting for it.
 
They need to step up their marketing, this new saddle seems so underplayed I’m losing interest. And I was very interested at first. Makes me think it’s probably not much different.

They are back ordered by about a month making their last two saddles. Have been since they released the kestrel. They did little to no marketing on the kite but there are a bunch out there. It seems counterintuitive but I think they are happy with their current sales. It’s a small shop and it seems as if they aren’t interested in growing into a huge company. I respect that. The big announcements and date changes with delays for something as small as a camo pattern if a little boring but I don’t think they care. Me personally I have enough saddle related stuff I haven’t even used yet that I’m in no hurry for something new and exciting that I have to spend money on.

A JX 3 is way better than a summit or the new Kestrel is better than a summit too. A summit climber is a deer alert horn for noise while crashing through the brush to find the perfect tree to climb . The other two are quieter and the JX 3 is more comfortable than either.

But you cannot get a JX3 either.
People need to except the saddles are popular now and all manufactures are back ordered. Nobody has them on the shelf

Hey, the wait might suck now but as soon as this crazy explosion is over you should be able to pick up nearly new saddles in the classifieds for 50% of msrp kinda like a new bow....

Maybe...

It will be here before deer season if you order now... patience is a virtue. If you order in August ... good luck
A mantis and kestrel you will have by July for sure if you order now... I am not sure what the JX 3 wait time is.

I agree with all of this except the 50% of the cost. Prices do not seem to drop much on heh second hand market. You pay same price but without the wait is the reason I suppose.

When the explosion is over and manufacturers catch up to the demand the prices will drop. No sense buying used if you can get new for the same price. Only reason the second hand market is that way now is people are so damn impatient.

Lots of people trying out saddles now. Surely there will be people that do not like it. That will drive the second hand market to lower prices too when they unload.

Does anyone else feel that the delay over camo options was a little over-hyped and under-delivered? I would much rather know what the new features are and whether or not it will come with the inevitable price increase over the current Kestrel.

Some guys will be excited about those patterns. In reality camo in general is overrated and the ugly to our eye camo patterns like asat and predator are probably some of the best.
