I had Tree Stuff make me a custom bridge out of 11mm Yale Kernmaster Safari. I should have requested a 3' eye to eye, but instead, I ordered 3' of rope with two sewn eyes........STUPID of me. now I have a 35$ tiny little short bridge....probably 2' long. I will have to measure it. I e-mailed Tree Stuff to see if they could help me out. Might have a good short bridge for someone cheap.

I'm considering replacing my web tether and bridge that came with my Guido's Web with a rope system. If you'd like to make me a deal I can't refuse I'll take it off your hands?

I have petzl rings on both sides. I am considering getting rid of the right ring and adding in a carabiner. Having to step through the bridge to put the harness on kind of negates the leg buckles. Mine needs to be adjustable anyway.

So did they start with 3' of rope and then sew the eyes? That is how it turned out short?

I use a Guido's Web and went with a 60 cm climbing sling at REI for $4.95 for my bridge. Carabiner on one side and loop it through itself on the GW bridge loop on the other side. The climbing sling is rated at 22kn and slides really nicely through the carabiner. And super compact.

How strong is a sewn eye ? Is it as strong as the rope itself?

A sewn eye needs to be able to pass a drop test. Rated webbing, industrial strength thread and proven sewing patterns is what makes that happen.

Tree Stuff is sending me a new bridge....told me to keep the old one as a backup.

That is an awesome testimony to good customer service that you don't see much of anymore! Going to check out what they have a little closer today!!

I got my new bridge rope in the mail last Friday and used it over the weekend. It works great. Since Tree Stuff doesn't want the short one back I am gifting it to some lucky person. It is exactly 24" eye to eye.....Custom Bridge 24.jpg A 35$ value and you pay the shipping. First person that says I'll take it gets it.

I use blue water ropes VT Prusik as my bride for my sit drag (31inches). I use a rock climbing harness with sit drag so after hunting I throw the sit drag in my bag and attach the VT prusik and use it for its intended purpose as I rappel down and collect my gear.
