I’ve been mobile for the last several years with LW sticks and a Millennium stand but have decided to switch to saddle hunting mostly for noise reduction and decreased visibility while in the tree. This forum has given me excellent insight.

Awesome, you will not regret your decision to become a saddle hunter! Welcome from Northern VA! What are you planning for saddle and climbing systems? For me the hardest part is was the climbing system. Oh check out the newbie info/advice section for lots of info with links, also linked in my signature. Oh and also check out the glossary for common terms so you can understand the lingo, if you haven't already of course.

Welcome!
I’m from central Mississippi.
New to the game as well.
I just ordered the mantis saddle and predator platform. Hopefully I get them in for a couple of sits this year.

Thanks guys! I’ve ordered the mantis saddle and plan to keep using my LW sticks for now. I have a single aider on my bottom stick. I’m still debating ring of steps vs platform vs something else like screw ins or the wild edge steps. I’m 6’0” 210# so I’m wondering if I’ll want/need something more substantial like a platform.

Give it some time, once you get comfortable in a saddle then you will have an idea if you need a ROS or a platform, ie sitter or leaner.

Welcome to the cutting edge of mobile hunting. Many of the guys here have been pushing the envelope for several years, researching, testing, adapting and creating the equipment and techniques to facilitate the taking of wild pressured whitetails. There's a lot to learn here.
