New Gear for 2023, Go!

What clothing pieces do you use from GWW?
I have bibs with comformax (wind barrier), vest with comformax, and jacket with insulation and comformax. I love all of them. Those boot blankets are on my list and I was also thinking about a jacket with only comformax.

I don't see people go crazy anywhere over a new gun model dropping. Or dropping 1200k every year on virtually the same thing over and over
You think that's crazy, have you seen what boat payments run lately? It's downright common in this era for the guys positioning them as influencers to get a new boat every year.

But how many guns do they have?
No clue. If your leading on to having a diversity of weapons have at it. That's not what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about the manufacturers claiming to come out with this new upgrade that changes the game forever. When it's the same crap recycled over and over again. Theyll come out with something and stick with it for 5 years, then go back to what they already designed, rename it, and claim it's a game changer. Whether it be cams, limbs, etc.
Bows aren't getting any faster, smoother, or lighter it seems.

Now compare it to the crossbow industry that has made leaps and bounds above what there was even 5 years ago.

Not a fisherman but I can only imagine. I really wish people would look at affordability in terms of what you can pay in cash versus what you can pay for the monthly payment. Most peoples lives would be a whole lot better.

No real point other than different strokes for different folks

I get excited about new bows too. There’s no rational logic to it. For the most part @bigmike23 is correct. But I will say the tuning features in the PSE’s, Bowtech’s and Elites are huge advancements for the folks that don’t live close to a pro shop and yes, speed and efficiency have been pretty much been topped out
But it’s still neat to see the new stuff. At least to me.

Mathews Lift....unfortunately has 8 limbs again.
As light as most carbon bows but still cheaper. The “lift” is the axle over the end of the limb instead of through the limb making the limb tips lighter and more durable, they lightened the limb pockets but also widened the limbs overall which adds to stability. The riser is basically as long as the ata length making it a very stable bow, all the bridge lock still there, and the efficiencies of the mods. New colors too. I think Matthews did well this year as did Bowtech.

I think Podium had the riser .25 longer than the ATA on the 29.5 Lift. I'm curious about it. 3.99 pounds and all the things you mentioned. Better tuning would be nice but man, the rest of the package is there

I agree and those are the two bows I'm debating on. The lift and the core SS. I love the tunablitly and the draw of the BowTech but Mathews is light and fast this year with those new cams. I don't know if I'm a fan of the rubber in between the limbs yet or not,

The fact they are keeping it speaks volumes.

Boat costs have doubled for some models. I wish I'd have just financed the damn bass tracker classic when I got out or college. Inflation definitely outpaced the interest rate on that one.

As far as the influencer thing, that's because of how boat manufacturers do prostaff. Usually, you get a discount on one boat package a year. You can sell last year's model. So you just sell and use the proceeds to buy this year's discounted model. Makes no sense not to.

Keep in mind that speed has to come from somewhere and this day and age 100% of the time if not from reduced BH that comes from sacrificing draw cycle.
