New Gear for 2023, Go!

Tethrd just announced the “Vader” renamed Predator CFX will officially go live Black Friday.

That’s technically new gear for 2023 right?
As of today, 11/17/2023, there are 44 days left in 2023. And there will be about 37 days from Black Friday to the end of the 2023 calendar year. As this is "that company" - does "go live" mean "we will take pre-orders" on Black Friday or "we will actually start shipping products" on Black Friday? History has shown (ahem) that an announcement, pre-order, and actual shipping dates can - and do - vary wildly. So, yeah, it's nickpicky.....but since you asked the question, the answer is......unclear.....obviously. The only thing that may stay consistent is the collection of funds on Black Friday.....

I asked about the third dimension, it's 9 inches wide and available in 12 or 16 tall

Apparently he came out of the front of the tab then around the tree. Instead of out the back of the tab around the tree. Dumb move…

But I think they should change the recommended routing come out the front of the tab cross the stick around tree across the front of the stick again and terminate the rope.

So I just want to suggest to everyone that they go to YouTube and watch some comparison videos of FORGED Carbon fiber and its strength compared to different aluminum types as well as real anisotropic carbon fiber.
Just so you can be informed what these new CF offerings really are and what they can handle.

Thats a glue/bonding agent error OR they tied the rope ONLY to the ears( which aren't their purpose) OR a serious gross weight being exceeded(aka jumping or falling onto your stick in a weird way).

CGM has come out with removable side pouches similar to the ones on the Lockdown saddle. No doubt they’ll be way better made than the Chinese versions from Tethrd. But I do like the ones on my Lockdown much better than dump pouches. I just ordered a set for my Cobra saddle.

I don't think it would matter. Look at the break at the lock down tab. You could also wrap around the stick once or twice. I think there's still just too small a surface area for the tab to withstand all of that downward force from anyone of substantial weight. Destined to break eventually...

I've said it before. I'll stick to my metal sticks.

I'll prob miss someone but I know a few of you guys were talking new Merino socks etc. @Plebe, @Horn, @bigmike23, @enkriss.

I may be late season filling the freezer this year. So, I decided to grab a pair of these today on sale $49 at Costco. Haven't opened the package yet. They look to be a Medium weight and are just a 51% Merino blend, with Nylon and Polyester. I believe the XL fit up to size 14 and L to size 11. Went with L because I prefer snug fit and XL wool socks tend to run towards the larger end of the range.

Just figured I would share with you guys in case you were interested as items like this dont stick around long. Will report back how they work out.

You know times have changed when you have an app to control your heated hunting socks...
