Hey y’all the names Jonathan from E TX.
I Primarily hunt national forest land and I tend to have a run and gun approach to how I hunt. I particularly like to bow hunt. I decided to get into the saddle hunting because I hunt way back in areas most people don’t go and any way to save weight is a good thing. I’ve primarily hunted out of climbers in the past but sometimes it seems like I spend as much time looking for a good tree to climb as I do to find the right area. I’m looking forward to using a saddle to save weight and help with that problem.
I’ve been hanging around for a while and have watched G2’s and others videos and that ultimately helped me decide to take the plunge. I ordered a sit drag and HSS tree rope today, I’m going to continue to look at everyone’s set ups and I’m sure I will have questions when I start to get all the items I need to build my setup.
Also all my buddies tried to persuade me to get a lock on and said going the saddle route was crazy. I’m gonna prove them wrong lol
