I am fairly new to hunting but have a sever case of AOHD (Adult Onset Hunting Disorder). This will be my fourth season and have luckily been able to kill at least one deer every year. I have not yet killed my first buck. Last year I shot one with my bow but never found it, this still tears me up inside. After listening /reading to John/Chris Eberhart saddle hunting seems like the way to go and I am very eager to give it a try. I have a Aero Hunter Kite on the way. I'm thinking climbing spikes are a good idea but am unsure of which platform to use.

Also, I have been planning a Sika and Crabbing trip to MD, only to find that you guys are way ahead of me and already have a Sikapalooza, I hope to attend.

Welcome from Pittsburgh PA. As far as a platform I'd try the Predator platform from Tethrd Nation looks awesome. I like the way it looks so I had to order one.
