Do you have a pic? A bear from the saddle would get the heart racing.

Heavily hunted public land. The Mantis allowed me to get back in an area I would never be able to hunt w a traditional stand set up. I was in a tree that I would have walked by and said there is no way I can set up and hunt out of that. I used a combination of 6 Bullman Outdoor silent approach strap on steps and 3 of the Primal steps W the modified strap/rope I put on them 23’ in the air. He was 15 yards away directly downwind and never new I was there. The shot was true and double lunges him w a 100 grain Grim Reaper powered by an Easton Axis 400 arrow. Elite E - 35 bow. To say I am on cloud 9 is an understatement.

I wish we could hunt them, they are everywhere through the Mississippi and Atchafalaya River deltas. There have been rumors that there is sustainable population now and hunting season or tag draw system was in the future.

Wow, even NJ has a bear season again. I figured you would have a bayou season for sure there.
Well, we did have a bear season again. Now we only kinda have a bear season again. Bear hunting has been outlawed on all state owned property this year by our wonderful governor.
