Novix/Trophyline Mission Platform

When I talked to them, I threw my hat in the ring for a side stacking design as well. Sucks having to pay $300 to get that feature on a stock stick. Maybe a patent is to blame?

Rotating stand offs is patent pending from what I have heard. Phone calls have been made to some companies regarding them being in violation once it’s approved. I am not sure if that is the reason or not but would much rather they rotate as well! I plan to use the pack and not carry the sticks as in the picture.

From my understanding it will be a couple of weeks and will be on Trophyline's website.

Question for someone who welds aluminum...@weldabeast maybe? If you chopped a cast aluminum platform like this trophyline or the predator width wise maybe 3 or 4 inches in, could you weld the end back on at a 25 or 30 degree angle? I like the platforms but I know my feet are gonna be on the edge most of the time and might see if I can get someone to do this for me.

Just brainstorming of ways to blow more money. Because everybody knows...the amt. of money you spend on hunting gear directly relates to how big a buck you gonna kill this season.

Welding cast isn’t like welding solid metals. Different ballgame and harder to do.

Take a look at one of my platforms... I believe this is what you seek!

How about a set of two foot pads about 8-10" wide, about 5-6" deep (coming out from the tree), with a hinge dead center to allow the foot rests to wrap around (conform to) the tree? Using aluminum angle (as one example), with the strap on the topside with some welded on strap gates (or slots machined in), and a couple teeth on the flats as tree grabbers? (You could actually forego the hinge and sawcut the angle on the footreast surface and bend it to a TBD angle.

A pair, or three of these could get a guy shooting 360-degrees if he needed too, or use as many as needed for your anticipated shot, which may only be one.

We are buying into nothing more than mini hang-on tree stands without a seat and paying a king's ransom as well?

A member here made something along these lines. It’s in the diy section. Can’t remember his name or the thread. But yeh, placing both feet next to each other out in front of the tree, and several inches away from the tree, doesn’t make much sense to me, and makes platforms a rare use case for me.

Love to see a commercially available product something like this. So much lighter and transportable too...

I am going to prototype a version that has been on my mind for some time. I work for a machine builder and have access to a full machine shop. This version will be light, and effective if it all works out, but most of all, economical. I put up some pics once I have a working version. Then, maybe, we can get somebody to offer a version at a price that makes sense.

My Mission was delivered today. Very solid and seems like near perfect replacement for my old LW Assassin. Looking forward to putting it on a tree.
