PA Show This week Latitude sticks

Seems like every stick would benefit from a system that keeps them secure but let’s you remove one stick at a time as you climb. All sticks pack well enough when they’re strapped to my pack. I think the issue is how I would get them up the tree when I’m climbing.
ah i didnt think about that angle, good call. with my 4 metal beast sticks i'd separate my sticks pre-climb, hang one, hang the second low/loose to get it on the tree in a place where i could grab it/ move it up to where i wanted once on the first stick, and use paracord loops on my saddle to dangle one off the left the other off the right. didnt even think about how one could climb withthe whole thing as a package so that makes more sense now.

I've considered the Tethrd One sticks for this very reason. 4 lbs on one side of my saddle, deploying as I go by popping the top one off the pins of the stick below seems like a pretty slick way to go. I remember @flinginairos posting a video climbing that way when gen1 came out. anyone else do this?

Exactly my thinking but I’ve never actually tried them.

That's easy, pick your favorite stick and only use one. ;)

Anytime I use 4 sticks to climb I attach the first at desired height but also hang the second stick loosely above it. Then I only have 1 stick hanging off each side of my saddle. I use amsteel endless loops and kydex clips on my saddle. This works with any stick out there.
Agree, I had this whole method when I first started dialing in my system that would allow me to take all 4 sticks off my pack while ascending (thinking there was great value in not taking my pack off at the base of the tree). But my process changed to gently unpacking the 4 sticks, less noise & movement. Being enough to set the second stick from the ground helps but not a big deal. Then 2 sticks on opposite hips for the climb is easy to manage & I don’t have to worry about additional noise popping them apart from a stack.
