Parker's Muddy Pro Stick Modification

I may be selling them here. Had a friend in this week and today we walked my property. Today he offered to help me hang 12 ladder sticks on my property so we both can saddlehunt with a much faster climb. I most likely wont use these now. Still had a blast making them and grateful for the experience. So I might post them in classifieds.

I am gonna have to try this with my muddy pros! 3lbs is a bit heavy for any climbing stick nowadays.

You guys/girl need to weigh your muddy pros on a certified scale. Albeit I have the originals, on a certified scale, mine are 2 1/2 lbs, and that's with hockey tape wrapped around them.

I don't get it. Why not sell the muddy pro if all you keeping is the tubing. Buy tubing from @DanO or another source. You did a great job on the sticks, but it does not look cost effective.

You can buy the tubing from DanO. Then you have to buy the right cam cleats and install them which can be tricky with the spring inside. If I was just going with a versa button yes, that would b doable but not in this case. And I did use a top grade scale to weigh my sticks. Thank you for all the responses.

I could spend less on Beast sticks for the low weight. But, unless you are 6 foot tall or have long legs it does not work for me. So, I had to improvise.

Now I better understand your reasoning for the mod. Good luck this season, keep us informed on your successes.

Thanks for the detailed pics of your process. By chance did you weigh the stand-off of the muddy pros vs the DanO ones? Just curious if it is that much of a difference. I have muddy pros and was thinking of at least changing the steps out as I do like the cam cleats

That is what I did only I kept the cam cleats and used some double steps that I designed. Mine is 2lbs 9oz.
Murph, how did they stack after the mod compared to before the mod? Also, did you go with the bracket from EWO because it was lighter or the steps wouldn't work with the original bracket? Great mod!

I went with those standoffs because they are light and they grab the tree like crazy. Best standoffs on the market in my opinion
