The thickest stuff that no one goes into is the swamp. I snuck to the backside yesterday to try to get a feel for it without trampling all over. There is heavy sign leading into it but I'm afraid to go marching in without a plan.
One of my other issues is on the run and gun going in blind. Finding the sign is the easy part. With it being open from a canopy standpoint any trees that exist have tons of low hanging branches so getting up then with sticks is difficult. Once up them any shooting lanes are riddled with arrow grabbing brush, branches and weeds. The same problem exists on most thick areas. What do you guys do when run and gunning the thick stuff? Back out to the first opening that you can get shots with a bow through? Hope for the best and just hunt it?
If I had it all scouted I'd have shooting lanes cut in and trees prepped.
