Platform for this year 2018

Hi Mark I am a newbie as well and just ordered the Mantis yesterday. I have been following the Eberharts for about 10 years and finally decided it was time to do things differently in order to get a better result. I hunt exclusively on public land in WNY and have hunted in NW PA. Looking to head to OH possibly this year and a few other places on public land. Looking forward to learning all I can on being a saddler and meeting some new fellas. I am committing my 2018 season to the “season of the saddle” as I like to call it. Good luck to you and your upcoming experiences in the saddle.

This is my first post here but I have been a long time creeper on this website. I bowhunt pressured whitetail in Southwest PA and read voraciously about bow hunting deer.

I have an old saddle system called a tree suite I bought on Ebay for $75 a few years ago. I am using a Lone Wolf flip seat as my platform from an Alpha LW stand and also I have Cranford steps. I use LW sticks or screw ins on private ground.

I have read posts about a “Ring of Steps” coming out from Cranford but not until October 2018, which is too late for me to try out for this year and I have seen a Predator platform now being sold. Anyone try one of these out?

Anyway I hope to connect with some other diehard bow hunters on here because a lot of my friends hunt, but they use ladder stands or lock ons and my best hard core hunting buddy moved.

I am married with 2 kids so I am planning now for the season to maximize my time in the woods.

I am looking forward to meeting some new passionate bow hunters and learning from you all because I am a novice with Saddle Hunting.

-Mark Wes
