All,

How do you all think the predator platform will compare to my Lone Wolf Assassin?

I recon the Predator will be better. Lighter, more grip with sides and "wings", and less expensive. Does the assassin have an adjustable platform for angled trees?

Lighter would be nice, but it does look quite a bit smaller. And yes, the Assassin does allow for adjustment for tree angle

How much are the assassin’s going for?
About $300. More if you have the entire original kit. I don't see the value dropping much. The platform is huge and that appeals to some hunters. I have one. I rarely use it but I have no plans on selling it for that reason. I made that mistake before. Lol.

The assassin never caught on because it is way over engineered and way to heavy. You could just as easy carry in an older LW for almost same weight. The Predator is going to blow the assassin away for saddle hunters because it is 1/3 the weight and is just the right size to saddle hunt from and have all the maneuverability for 360 shooting as I laid out in my video a few years back. Many of us have been waiting for a long time for this platform. The Klemz was great but the platform was a tad small. My original cam over platform concept was right size platform and could be leveled for leaning trees, but is heavier and had to do a lot of tweaking to remove platform wobble. The guys at Tethr'd listened and developed what I believe is going to be the perfect size with the advantage of the Klemz hook up and the size of platform as on the cam over design - with no needed modifications. I am really looking forward to receiving mine and testing it out and hunting with it this year. Once I see it and try it, I will probably buy a few more to last me the rest of my hunting career. Like I said, some of us have been pursuing the ultimate platform for a long time and I believe we are getting there thanks to the guys at Tethr'd.

Can I get your Assassin if you sell it? Like others said, it's a bigger platform. I have a DIY version very similar to the Predator from a cut-down old LW Assault, roughly the same size as the Predator. It is a little smaller than my ideal platform. Great for getting way in deep but for my spots closer to the truck kind of pointless. I'd really like to try an Assassin.

I'll probably wait for some reviews to come in on the Predator before I pull the trigger on one. Once I do I'll compare to my assassin. I like the size of the Assassin but it is quite heavy. However, I'm not sure the trade off of a lighter, yet smaller platform will be worth it. We'll see. If it is I'll be putting my assassin up for sale.

I started with and assassin and still love it. Later built a couple of XOP platforms trying to drop some lbs. Lighter and very nice, but the assassin locks in much easier with the platform at the bottom of the post. I ordered the Predator because it is the same basic design as the assassin, but it will be much lighter and pack tighter . The assassin will be good for a second setup. Once the predator gets here you can check it out if you'd like.

I sold my Assassin in May & bought 2 Predators with the $ and there was still a little left over

Looking forward to seeing them in person soon

Seeing that you just up the road from me I might take you up on that. If you don't mind, let me know when it comes in.

Riding atop that Assassin was so much more comfortable than standing on my climbing spurs, (screw in steps or landscape spikes) all day. So it took me a long time to realize just how heavy the Assassin platform is. The improvement in this area alone, makes The Predator a worthy investment in my eyes. I plan to acquire one when my $ greens up.

Funny, that's probably the one thing I would have traded my windwalker for ;-) .... maybe ....

I've never hunted from an assassin. I'd like to try out for comparison.

When we were developing the Predator with @redsquirrel @BassBoysLLP @Erniepower and @bowhunter15 I had my doubts that it could be better than an Ernie's Outdoors Klemz style. To me, the Klemz was perfect. But honestly, the Predator is way better. Garrett is a genius.

Anyone have a picture of a Predator and an Assassin next to each other for comparison?

I put some up in one of the review threads of the predator in here I believe. I'll try to hunt it up.
