I use a chalk box with a 10 oz throw bag. toss over branch about 3 ft from trunk 15 to 20 ft high. throw bag comes down then i tie lifeline on the 1.7 mm zingit line that I retrofitted in chalk box then with a clove or anchor hitch attach to my 30 ft lifeline then tie and confirm a running alpine butterfly and pull up the rope. Then attach my Inch Worm SRT climber and climb. then I attach my platform on the way up, then inch worm up and buck in to the spar. finally set the tether if needed. To get down you can belay on a prussik , a munter hitch, fig 8 or use a belay device. grabbing your platform on the way down. If you want a pre set just add para cord to alpine loop 2x as long so when you take your rope you install the para cord back in the tree. be sure to tie it off or I like to hook it into bark. This keeps it from blowing in wind and finding your preset 10 ft off ground. Go back to camp fry up some tendies and onion sharpen a few blades and practice knots. The knots are alpine butterfly, running alpine butterfly, anchor hitch munter hitch and other prussiks.
hope that helps
