To be 100% honest I havnt hunted out of it yet. But I’ve spent plenty of time at ground level testing. Adding the wrap to the steps help keep them in place so they don’t slide down the strap when ur trying to attach the assembly to the tree. So less to mess with once ur trying to tighten it up. The lil bungee is working good to hold things in place while packing it in.
Gonna add a loop to the middle to hook on the back of my saddle gear hook but that’s about all I think I’m gonna do?!.?? Lol.
Anyone else have any other mods/additions they’ve done to the pursuit platform?

I tied some small cord on the 'ends' to keep my strap where I want it.
I hockey taped it too...
The cord on the right side goes through the strap (right behind the buckle) and keeps it put.

Yeah I did something similar to that. I used rubber coated wire and slightly tightened it down till it didn’t slide freely on the strap! Good mod! I like it !
I added a twisty tie wire thing to the top of mine so I can hang it on my tether while i put the cam strap on the tree
I rest mine on my knee while I reach around the tree and hook up the strap. It would take a long wire to hang mine on my tether

Im usually right up against the tree so I just hang it from my bridge/tether. I’m clumsy and always dropping stuff from the tree. I try to keep everything attached to something now
welp, looks like I’m gonna make some DIY climb paws lol looks like a cool and fun project. You can make 8 with your specs out of a 5’ section. 5’ is only $13.88 at my local Menards. I think I’ll use them as presets. Thanks for the info!
Disclaimer: I'm not an ingineer and these aren't tested by anyone other than you, yourself and some random guy on the interwebs. Use caution and judgement with all DIY projects.
That being said mine have been solid through about 15 setups so far.

I’ve been mixing it up with my tree climbing the last couple nights.
I’ll try to make a long story short since I’m in a tree now and there’s deer in the field...
So, the other night I left my rappel rope, one-stick and pull up/down rope in a tree. I had a bunch of does out in front of me in the field ‘till almost dark and the wind died down from a 9 - 10mph SW to a really light Easterly wind. Guess where the field is. Yep, due West of my tree!
Uh oh! Here comes a nice buck.

Can’t sleep so I’m pulling a late night SH fix. Anyway, my first hunt out of the Pursuit and it worked great. I used the OG cam buckle that came with it and it’s rock solid. When all
my weight is on it when transitioning from Lineman’s to my tether, the top part of the teeth pull slightly away from the tree but once I’m tethered in it is fine and no movement or squishyness.
What’s this new test platform @RMcDonald7 ?

Do you know if they're going to consider discounts for those who may want the upgraded ones? My Pursuit says 5/22 Type 1. I'm assuming that's the original unstructured one then?
