Dave, do you still have the seat mounted in the same spot on the riser, or did I read somewhere that you moved it lower?

Have not had it out in a while but my latest version has the platform at top and a versa button and strap near bottom. My platform bolt rests against the head of the big bolt I used to attach the top tree V bracket

I assume you are still utilizing the cam action for stability of the platform in addition to the versa button? Also, Any specific benefits you have found with it up top on the riser as opposed to possibly placing it on bottom?

I didn' care for stick to be above the platform... i like it out if the way. Yes, still Udine strap on top platform to cam lock it. I also filled tube with bindi and chopped fiberglass matt.

Hey Dave. Killer platform! Been stoked on all ur YouTube vids too. Any idea if the lone wolf seat u used for this project was the alpha seat or the elite seat replacement? I would think both would work but any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

it was a seat off an older lone wolf stand - not sure you can get the one with the ears anymore.

Thanks for the idea and inspiration. Seat from a Muddy bloodsport....most uncomfortable POS I ever sat in. It was a joy to take that sucker apart and repurpose it.

Nicely done. I put the Assassin seat on my LW stick. It works pretty well.

Nice work!

I just finished building a platform similar to Dave t. Thing is so money I couldn't be more stoked on it! When u cam it over the thing locks in so solid. I thought about adding it to a stick but decided building it seprate was best for me. I'm 180 pounds roughly. I used a lone wolf alpha seat 1.25 inch aluminum tube bout 8 inches long grade 9 hardware. A lone wolf strap. Might add a 2 nd strap as this was the only thing I could see maybe failing but seems solid as is w just one. inserted a 1 by 1 inch piece of oak down the center of the tube. Tubes 1/8 inch thick all around.... I added some traction pad material from some surfing traction tail pads I had laying around to the seat to silence it and for a little added padding. I'm really excited about this thing gunna be a game changer for me and how I like saddle hunting. Thanks Dave !!!

I'm building one of these platforms as well. I like the seat on top of my LW stick, but I need a version to use with my spurs.

Okay look like I'm in....

After reading this I have an LW Alfa seat headed my way. Looks to good not to try.

Anyone try this with muddy sticks yet?

I think u will like it. Def no need for a Versa button with this platform replying to other people's questions. The seat I used didn't have the little wings that stick out like on Dave ts. It's the alpha seat newer. When adding the strap I had to use a caribeaner to attach to my platform as a quick release. Gave me an extra step but minor. It can be done w just a lone wolf strap but with this seat it gets challenging trying to thread the strap thru the buckle in the dark... I'm sure there's other options just the first thing I saw that worked

Filing the tube prob isn't a must. Felt solid without it but I had a piece of oak laying on my work bench so figured why not. Last thing if ur over 200 pounds then u may want to find a different seat then the alpha. Something thicker more stiff. I'm happy w it Tho
