Wow that is a good looking setup.
USFS bans the use of bikes on our public lands though. I think it is stupid they allow horse trails but no bikes... same amount of erosion from those trails.

Nice. Do I see a tethered bike raffle in the future?

Looks GREAT!!!
Got a lot of questions to ask because I'm looking into an electric assist fat tire bike or converting my old mountain bike into an electric assist. So, I am only going to ask a few questions right now. What is the watts, is it under 750? Because, everything I am reading and finding in my research. Almost all the states that have laws on electric bikes use the 750 watts as a cut off. Therefore a 750 watt electric bike is still classified as bike and can be used since it is not a motorized vehicle. I am wondering what is the heaviest load you have hauled and type of terrain. I feel like there would be no issue on relatively flat terrain, but wondering about hills or mountain.

Yes it is a 750 watt motor. I weigh 190 lbs. I pulled my two daughters together (160 lbs) up a 9% grade with no problems. That was in first gear using pedal assist 3-5. Yesterday I put on 11 rough and hilly miles with just me and all of my hunting gear, roughly 230 pounds, no trailer. This thing is a beast! I really put it through its paces, climbing rough, loose rock roads, and several of them. Everything has its limitations but this thing clawed it’s way up some pretty long and nasty hills with only the throttle. Yesterday was my first day in the field with it. I can’t tell you how awesome it is to get to a hunting spot 4.5 miles back and not be tired and sweaty. I couldn’t stop grinning!

"I can’t tell you how awesome it is to get to a hunting spot 4.5 miles back and not be tired and sweaty." That is my main reason. I don't mind the long hike into an area. The issue is the time getting there and then the cool down time. I already drive about 1.5hrs - 2hrs to National Forests and Refuges. Then if you add hiking time and then cool down time. Your looking at another hour. So, if I am looking at reducing that time frame any way I can.

Okay, here are a few more questions. Did you already own the fat tire bike and get the conversion kit or buy the bike already with the electric assist? If you bought the conversion kit. Why did you go with the motor at the pedal instead of the tire? Guessing it was not to difficult of an installation?

Told you I have a ton of questions and thanks for the info/ feedback. Hope you will continue updating throughout the season. Really looking forward to hearing your reviews.

What make/model is that if you dont mind me asking?
