So im curious if using permethrin on scentlok was advised as i hunt in some heavy tick infested areas. I would hate to alter the scentlok benefits and if anyone has any information with using them in conjunction together?

Permithrin will adsorb well to the activated carbon but Permithrin is semi volatile with a relatively high boiling point (almost 400 F) so it's unlikely to get occluded in valuable meso and micro pores of the activated carbon. In fact, the permithrin is most likely to affiniate well to any non polar fabric and likely won't get much past the perflourocarbon coating used to waterproof your outerwear.

Id say it's pretty easy choice between maybe getting winded or getting covered in ticks. Hate those little devils.
Same. I just discovered the joys of Permethrin last summer during a bad blackfly & mosquito season. It's the Frank's Red Hot Sauce of repellents.I permethrin EVERYTHING. After getting over 300 chiggers at once last year from my armpits down to my toes, I declared war. Also, ticks give me the Hebee Jebees with all the diseases they carry.

Been using it on scentlok for 10 years, no issues. I buy the Gordans Permithrin 10 from tractor supply and dilute it 1oz to 20 oz water. Spray everything down outside and let it air dry for a day or two. Used to walk through soy bean fields and corn fields chigger free.Anyone care to share experiences since the OP? Do you still use it on scentlok? If not what made you change? Ticks love me but the feeling is not mutual and they are awful where I hunt so I’m interested in anything I can do to prevent those suckers.
