Sewing machines for DIY

I know nothing about sewing machines, but I have a Singer Futura 900. My gut says it probably is not heavy duty enough for webbing and the like. But just wanted to confirm that.

I have an old vintage Pfaff 545, it is a beast, if you luck into finding one an aftermarket servo motor will allow you to have amazing control of your stitching. I can slow my servo down to one stitch per second with the servo and I was able to install a needle position indicator, which can make the machine stop needle down when you let off the foot pedal

I've come across a few Pfaff machines....good to know they're up to the task.

Red... I’m a technology idiot, it keeps saying file is too large. How do I resize the picture?

@gameflogger, right click on your picture, select edit then select resize. I drop it to 50% and it uploads fine. This is on a windows computer, not sure how to do it on a crapple.

I have had no problems at all with mine, and I sometimes sew through 5/8” leather. I don’t sew near the volume that other people sew though I only do personal projects
