I would go with more of a swader hook approach (red circle). I personally use the same sling for one sticking and as my moveable aider for multiple sticks. It attaches to the top step on the outer corners. 152E7EA0-727E-4155-87AB-ACF129051BBA.jpeg

Are yours the rotating or fixed? Any flexing? I want 14” FXD but worry about flexing
