Wanted to quiet down the tubing a little so I ordered a single piece of stealth strip and cut it to fit. Had to to make some cutouts for the strike plate and 6 point brackets, but didn't for the bolt holes. The fit was tight with the spacers against the tubing but I managed with a little creative tapping.

All in all I like my XOP platform a little bit more now!!

Did the same with mine last weekend. No doubt it needed some silencing. No way I was going to use it bare. I also wrapped the edge of the platform with Stealth Strips. I was worried it would peel back with repeated use so I double wrapped over with camo hockey tape. Now it's TWICE as quiet.

If you ever need quick cheap coverage on a beam, Tractor Supply has Camo horse tape. It is cohesive tape with a bit more of a rubber texture to it than camoform

And if Stealth strip is to expensive for your application...Super Felt adhesive Micro Suede works well. I got some on Amazon

I did the same to mine. That was my first experience with Stealth Strips. Let me say...I'm a fan.

Stealth strips are wonderful. a close second for quieting and camo'ing things are the self-sticking stretchy camo tape. If you're 100% on what's under the cover staying how it is - stealth strip it. It you're not sure or may be making modifications - use the stretchy camo tape. Doesn't leave a residue if you have to pull it off and comes off easy.

Neither are cheap, but both are amazing. I haven't painted any of my accessories for hunting since I discovered them.
