Just got them and they are EXCELLENT. I opted for a wide 2" carry strap and the straps that buckle around the sticks are 1". I ordered it in 'pumpkin' as I was tired of fishing around the ground in the woods and my pack looking for the black straps :)

My old straps were Lonewolf and the hardware swivels not hem was junk and unnecessary. These are great.

I ordered some of these about a week ago and can't weigh for them to come in

Mine came with small rubber pad for your shoulder, but you can't slide it to a position that allows you to place it on your shoulder, so useless. Other than that it worked ok.

IMG_0243.JPG Preadjust the length of the loops and they fasten around the sticks. I'll trim the excess after I use them a bit. I might tie knots in the tag ends

My shoulder pad adjusts freely. Maybe the length you got has you adjusting the strap where you can't slide the pad?

Here is mine I got in the mail today.20160923_160531.jpg20160923_160547.jpg
Strongly recommend strapworks

I dug mine out and yep you guessed it. Mine on its shortest setting is 40" long. If I ever decide to use it again, ill have to cut it down and sew it.

I just picked up the 2 inch 1.5 - 3ft. I just wish it carried the sticks a little lower. With it fully adjusted out my sticks ride into my side and I would rather have them lower on my hip. Still a great product

Try angling them so the sticks are hanging more vertical. As long as they don't crack you on the knees :) but they are easier to maneuver through brush that way

Ps... for longer hikes (and maybe even short ones) I have considered rolling them up in a cover material and then cinching the carry strap. This would keep them from banging into or getting tangled on anything and keep the stick straps together.

Thanks for the info, I just bought a set of Lone Wolf sticks and this looks like a good way to carry them. I am not sure what length I should get. I want to be able to carry them across my back with a waist pack on. Any recommendations?

Just mock it up with a length of rope and then measure it. Leaving a little room to adjust isn't bad
