Team 13 Thread

Sneaking out of work early today to hunt an area I found last weekend tore up with several scrapes. Had heavy rain all weekend and today is 40 degrees and clear. Looking forward to being in the tree.

Got held up about 40 min longer then I planned at work and ended up jumping a racked buck that was headed to the scrape, only saw a spike after that.

Good luck Gents
I went out yesterday. Sat 11 hours. Saw two small bucks that were nose down cruising. Had an interruption by soil sample Sam driving all around the tillable acreage clanging a sampler into the field dirt. That racket stirred up a nice buck in the thicket. He was nose down and cruising not paying any mind to the utv driving large concentric circles in the field. I held on for the big buck to come back, but he did not. No shots were taken. Things are heating up in Indiana. Good luck 13

Been going after em hard. Every muscle in my body hurts. Yesterday was one of the more fun days in the whitetail woods I have ever experienced. Seen an absolute tank in the morning 50 yards out keeping tight to cover facing me. Lots of cruising dinks. One chasing the other one off full speed and they crashed over a fence. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the sound that made. Back at it this morning. Running on empty but I can rest on Monday. So much grunting I’ve been hearing it in my sleep. God is good folks. Happy hunting.

Finally had a decent evening sit this evening. Had a doe and two little ones come by with like 5 min left. Heard a buck in the clear cut coming but he got to me too late. It was basically dark by the time he walked by me. Was in the tree a lot later than I liked to be but didn't want to spook him. I personally have not been in the action so it was good to see some activity tonight. Try again Wednesday morning and I am off Friday for an all day adventure. Has not been my typical archery season but its been fun non the less.

Got this dude in the annual rut trip to Ohio. 10 point and my second best buck! I never liver shot a deer before, but that’s where I caught this one. I let him go all night and had a stressful track job with small drops but he piled up 180 yards from the shot.

Beautiful!!! Next yr swing up to Lebanon and pick me up on the way

Great deer man. That adds some nice points for Team 13

Congrats. Nice buck! I’m back it next 4 days. Couple breezy days coming up as the temps drop for the weekend. Passed a lot of bucks last week. One that I’m still wondering if I should of. Might kill him if he comes around this week.

I was itching to kill today. Passed this guy earlier last week but he came out in my lap today and unfortunately for him I was blood thirsty.

What a great looking deer!!! Congrats

I swear guys I am actually trying to kill a deer, I swear! Absolute worst archery season to date. Not even a doe! Had 6 does around me last night but just could not get a comfortable shot off at 30 yards. Plus I heard another deer in the clearcut which I believe was a buck but it got too dark. I have off tomorrow and it looks like rain in the morning. Will look at the % later tonight but I think I'll slip in late am when the rain stops and be ready. Prob hunt where I plan to till about 1-2pm then move to where we've been seeing plenty of does and my cousin saw an absolute giant on Monday. Next week if its like last year I did not see many deer on this extended archery week we got here in Pennsylvania last year.
