Tether as a step aider

I am thinking about using my tether as a step aider. I will be using 3 short sticks with fixed webbing aiders on each. I plan to use my tether as an aider to reach each fixed aider. I know some are using their tether as an aider and was just wondering how yall were doing this. Do yall add anything to the tether to make it more user friendly in order to attach it to your foot or sticks? Let me know how yall are doing it. Thanks.

Maybe I was wrong assuming that some have been doing this.

I’m pretty sure @redsquirrel used to. I think it was called RS aider? I forget and I tried to search it but no luck. I used it for a bit. I had a loop on the end of my tether and would clip it into the biner making the foot hold and use the ropeman to lift my leg , stand up on it then onto my WE step .... I think lol it’s been a while

Look up the thread, redsquirrel aider, that should give you some inspiration. I have done it for wild edge stepps, strap on steps and on climbing sticks, but I only use it for 1 step, I don't step up into another aider.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to need to add something to hold it to my foot better and figure out a way that I can attach it easily to my sticks by just raising my foot and not having to adjust the length each time. I don't plan to use any mechanical devices, only friction hitches.
