I noticed that the Mantis instructions say to wear the belt above the hip bone and below the ribs. Is that what everyone is doing? Is that an instruction for both sitting and leaning? I know I had to wear my Kestrel really low for better sitting comfort.

I think it’s something everyone needs to mess around with. There’s no dead set spot that it needs to go. As long as you keep the waist belt snug and the leg straps on you should be good. I will move the saddle around some during a sit so I’m not keeping pressure points in one spot for hours on end.

Mine keeps riding up. I end up pulling it down every half hr or so. Seems to be cutting into the back of my legs also. I’m hoping the microdot adjusters fix that.

Mine was cutting into me as well. I put a 40 inch bridge on and raised my tether higher and helped a lot. With my sit drag a low tether and short bridge was better.

Wow a 40” bridge and high hook in, typically that seems very opposite to what most seem to prefer just curious how y’all are you.

Yeah, it is. I was to the point I was going to send it back or sale it, but that really made a difference. I've always liked a head high tether and a short bridge on my sit drag but that just didn't work for my Mantis.

so far setting spots up and mainly using the linesman's belt I loved it. but had lots of discomfort on my sit Monday am. IT was pinching hard at my kidneys and above my hips. I am planning on trying a very short bridge and a low leather trying to change to angle. I have found that I am mainly a leaner. Any other suggestions. I will also try the long bridge and high tie in. The discomfort was enough that I was considering pulling out the Kestral and testing the difference.

I preferred a forehead to head high tether with my sit drag. It has a 30 inch bridge as well. I tried the Mantis there and it wasn't comfortable. I found that a chin high tether works better for me. I will continue to try it there but i may also look at the longer bridge.
