Timber ninja wanted $45 to ship me 1 stick.

Still, that's a stick. Not a tiny roll of Stealth Strips.

But...as per my midday post today...it's clear I agree. TN has an outrageous and unacceptable shipping policy as does Tethrd, in this instance.

Kudos to folks like Real Deal Amsteel who can ship a one stick for $6.00

$4.88 doesn’t seem bad for shipping on a 3 - ONE stick stealth strip pack…

USPS option opens for me for a pack of 3 also, but if you had 1 extra it jumps to almost 18. No matter I'm giving my cash direct to uncle lou anyway

Pin update. I did hit all 4 pins with sand paper and Vaseline. They now seem to slide together OK. I am figuring out how to stack in the dark and pull apart without busting my knuckles. I do like these sticks, super light and grip the tree surprisingly well.

I can't wait to get out with mine. I wish they would make a true one sticking stick with the same materials and a bigger platform top. They would sell a boat load.

That would cost them extra in labor.

EWO used to have flat rate shipping but seems to have changed. I wonder what it took for them to come around on that.

EWO uses a weight calculation for shipping cost. When I'm bored at work, I would fine tune my cart for EWO to get just the right weight for an order before it hit the line for increase shipping cost!

They disabled solitaries on our computer.....

Everyone carrying 3 or 4 of these, are you placing them horizontally as a group on the back of your pack and then attaching with bungees or similar? If done like this, do they stick out enough on each side to grab brush? My current system is fully contained in my pack and that is hard to beat.

I carry 5, horizontally in the meat shelf of either StrykerXL or PU28. They don’t stick out beyond me but I’m a 40” waist :tearsofjoy:

Yikes.

I'd think horizontal, or in pairs on the side of the pack would be better than that.

I think if the sticks are inside your shoulders they generally do ok horizontally. I ran my (won't mention name brand) sticks in the Stryker just like that in MD and didn't have a problem in woods, clearcut, or swamp. I'm not sure it'd be my top choice for some brush I hunt, but I haven't tried so I don't know how well or poorly that'd go. My sticks stack in line, which makes packing them this way easy.

I like the unnamed sticks vertically in pairs on the sides of my Kuiu pack. It's a pretty narrow pack and seems a good fit. Exo packs are narrow too and probably a good candidate for this approach, but I don't have one.

Yeah, I'll continue the tradition of me being a saddlehunter safety pup and state that I don't want to carry them in a way that if I take a hard fall (which happens in the mountains, off trail) I don't want the end of the step to stab me in the ribs.

Hunters take small risks constantly that other sports simply don't. I'm sure that alpinist don't carry their climbing axes in a way that if they fall backwards they would stab them in the torso.

They pack well vertically on all packs I’ve tried them on. I generally pack in singles, but run them stacked on my Predator. In my opinion packability is their biggest strength.

I’ve been running mine like this for 2 seasons and it’s worked great and I have ran them on my Kifaru E&E also without the .5 and never had them come apart vertically either.

I don’t think so. They have posted pictures of them physically pulling the sticks off pallets and shipping them.

The shipping is absurd. Having to split orders is even further frustrating.

Remember when shipping on saddles and platforms was free?
They also show video of them sewing the saddles on their current website like they are right here in the US just sewing away daily. It’s just marketing. It’s easy to have one or two pallets for a promo video.
This reminds me of when you find a killer deal on ebay and add to cart and realize they are charging you $100 shipping and handling and hoping you don't notice.
the seller does this to sell item at cheaper price but then makes it up in shipping. This way they owe less to eBay as a seller since it’s considered shipping and handling.

Pretty handy how you have them on your saddle.

This was a customer request. I personally couldn’t get around where I hunt with anything on my saddle. It’s a must to have sticks vertical & a slim profile for me.
