Cut it, chop it, $#%&I would love to see you field-dress one of these platforms and give us the autopsy data…
Hit it with your truck...
I'll give you the first 10 bucks

Ok I had to google forged carbon fiber. Obviously it’s not forging in the traditional sense… just pressure in instead of pressure out, plus heat. But I can’t imagine it’s tempering… so what’s the point of the heat, I assume just to make the binder thin enough to get between all those shredded sheets of CF?Those lines are definitely from a cnc cut mould and my guess is that tehrd wanted that kind of texture for grip. Forged CF is never done in layers and needs VERY high pressure and heat to melt the matrix and form the product in the mould. When you do a bunch of runs, there's always a chance the mould or material didn't reach the exact proper temperature again, and a possibility of little bits from the last platform sticking inside the mold when the next one is poured/injected.
Tethrd shared photos somewhere of their mould and press. What i mean is that like it or not, there may be lemons due to not every manufacturing technician having the right amount of OCD to make sure each part is perfect....
Those cracks are definitely stress points and will only grow unless they're blended down(by removing material in a circle or oval at a taper).
If anyone wants to send me one, I'd be glad to look it over and send it back, or field dress it as you say lol....I just don't want to buy one myself as I have no use for it neither could I nor would I want to copy it.I would love to see you field-dress one of these platforms and give us the autopsy data…
I really just mean it’s neither fabric nor loose fibers but more like confetti, right?Yes, heat is to melt the matrix or cure it. And they aren't sheets, but rather tow chopped at what looks to be about 1" lengths.
Since you seem to know alot about carbon platforms. Do you thing their may be other carbon platforms out before next season??? Hint, hint, hint!If anyone wants to send me one, I'd be glad to look it over and send it back, or field dress it as you say lol....I just don't want to buy one myself as I have no use for it neither could I nor would I want to copy it.
My money is on Arsenal using its newly earned money from the sticks and platform to drop something.Since you seem to know alot about carbon platforms. Do you thing their may be other carbon platforms out before next season??? Hint, hint, hint!
seems they’re working on a non-collapsible stick as wellMy money is on Arsenal using its newly earned money from the sticks and platform to drop something.
Hope it’s a short one from 7075 with fold flat standoffs like their platforms.seems they’re working on a non-collapsible stick as well
Sent them an email asking about that but never got a reply so I went ahead and ordered the one sticks.seems they’re working on a non-collapsible stick as well

Just some dude on the internet here, but to me that looks like marks left from a chip breaker endmill. These would need some kind of post processing once they come out of the mold to remove flashing. Just my assumption but it does make some sense.Looks like layers

One thing I really like about the platform is the size. Side by side doesn't look a ton bigger than the standard predator but in use it felt way roomier
