Not much story, really. I climbed up. Forgot my foam pad at the bottom. Climbed back down. Back up.
I heard the dog working the area just north of where she came out. 20 min later she showed up.
I waited until she was almost in my scent stream, 10 yards out, jut I case she had company. She dropped in the spot.
There haven't been many deer taken up here this year. A conservation Officer was telling us almost nothing had been seen the previous week.
But, the temps have dropped almost 15 c and we have a dry camp. Yesterday we either saw or heard 5. They are out there.
It's supposed to rain Tuesday through Friday. I'll either try and get in tight to some bedding areas or still hunt.
The rest of the guys still think I'm crazy to use a saddle. I'm working on them.
