what type of thread are you all using for these projects? I just picked up a singer heavy duty injector.
@skell so im looking at the gutterman tera 40 and they recommend it on the industrial machines. In your opinion would this be a pain for a home machine? I bought the singer heavy duty 4452 machine which i can get the appropriate needles for this thread which they recommend to use 14-18 size.

Thought I would add for those new to sewing...make sure you know how the thread is supposed to come off the spool. If the thread is in an "x" pattern on the spool, it is meant to feed up or off the end of the spool using a sweet stand like the one pictured. Or using a horizontal spool holder if you have a fancier machine than I do.

Could also be said as..."you know you're CHEAP when you piece together random stuff from the garage instead of buying a $10 stand" LOLYou know you’re serious when you’re making mods for your thread injector! I think I’ll have to do the same, I’m sure it’s better than the big gulp cup I been using to hold the larger thread spools!

Just asking has or does anyone just use the speedy sewing awl for this?
So really how do you determine the tension and or stitch length? Is there a universal setting or is this just all trial and error?
Maybe @ckossuth has some brilliance to share on these topics...So really how do you determine the tension and or stitch length? Is there a universal setting or is this just all trial and error?
