Tree Saddle Hunter Magazine!!!

I’m doing quite well sir. Thank you for asking. Also if y’all would like to do the whole read it and pass it on to a friend, I have a couple copies of this first issue since we ran a small ad in it. I only need one and I’m willing to mail out the other one as long as that person is willing to continue the love for the next person who may wanna read it
I bought two just cause I’m me and wanted to support so if @Fl Canopy Stalker gets his extra gone and another person wants one I can sent one on too.

Print is dead.

Ask me how I know.
You worked for SI? Sad day for those of us who looked forward to it each week.

Print isn’t dead, it’s a niche audience though. I read my paper each morning before I open the app on my phone. I still get excited when I get magazines each month. My kids love getting their Ranger Rick and Lego mail and my son has went from pictures to telling me the story to reading about hunting and gear from my magazines.

Print's pretty door-nail dead if you're a contributor or publisher.

If you're a young staffer content to grind out unimaginative generic "content" for low-to-moderate pay, you can hang in there until it all goes away, and that will be when the parent company or non-profit organization decides it's time to do some cost-cutting, which won't be long.

A lot of people say they like to hold the magazine in their hands and flip through it at the cabin or on the can, but few of them will pay for that enjoyment anymore.

Magazines want to rely on general staffers for fill and clicks, and won't pay or nurture most topic-expert freelancers. So I think you can see where this is going, beyond teaching children to read and sparking their imaginations with something they can hold in their hands.

There is no substitute for print, but that's not where we are right now.
