Upcoming season goals

Same as always. Get in the woods as much as work and family allow. Pack the freezers, have fun and enjoy the process. Kids will be hunting/behind the gun for the first time this fall too.

At this point my goal is just to be able to draw a bow and hunt from a saddle before season ends!! I tore the tendons and ligaments from my elbow that attach the bicep. Had surgery and now in the RoBo arm for 8-12 weeks. Hoping with rehab and a little divine intervention this will happen!

I’ve missed a season due to a shoulder surgery. It’s no fun. Hope your arm heals up quick.

I'm trying to bring my expectations/goals back to reality a little bit. My heart keeps telling me the goal is another deer like last year's buck, but I think that's kind of a stretch. I'm no Eberhart, and expecting to take a P&Y buck on public land every year is a little unreasonable (for me). Maybe someday I'll be at that level.

So I'm trying to get the idea in my head, just get a doe, and a buck that makes you happy. Like Jake from THP said, "If I'm shaking, I'm shooting."
Its possible bro believe me if you put the time in the right areas at the right time.
not many of us have 7 days a week to hunt and scout

I've never harvested a deer with my bow, so that's goal this year. That and to continue scouting the public land around me. I put in a lot of miles last year scouting and located some really nice spots but didn't get any chances at a deer, so I definitely want to revisit them to see if they still show sign. I also want to continue exploring too and hopefully find a spot with no hunter sign

This year my goal is to kill a specific buck I’ve been watching. This is my second season and last year I did good. Harvested a couple of deer I was really proud of, but none of them were really targeted. Just opportunistic kills.

Normally I’d have all sorts of grand plans and schemes. But I’ve just recovered from a nasty ankle injury and surgery. So the plan for this year is simple: work as hard as humanly possible over the next few month to get caught up on work and home tasks so that when the season comes I can be free to hunt as much as possible.

Same goal as every year, fill at least 3 tags but goal is to always tag out, only tagged out once ever but all I do is bow hunt public land, on average 1-3 is my numbers per season. I don’t care about horns I’m strictly hunting for meat. This year will be my first year since I was a child using a rifle but I’m setting down the compound this year and using the recurve also.
