This is cool stuff and can’t wait to receive my order. Now I will probably end up ordering more in a month or so just to pair with my sticks.

Lol @ckossuth you didn’t expect such a response? Weren’t you the one who had his first post as a kestrel copy lol?? I think what you have done was take your phenomenal skill set with sewing and made alot of options possible for this community. You along with a few people develop and gave birth to Tethrd which has changed the game at least for me. The options are endless due to the creativity between you and everyone else pair that with @g2outdoors and his ability to amp up the best products and solutions for saddlehunters.

These versa straps look awesome and I look forward to putting them through the paces. Thank you for being such an innovator and a creative genius!!

Thank you so much for that!! Between all of you here and the Tehtrd crew, you guys really keep my mind going. It really never shuts down anymore LOL! I thoroughly enjoy doing this type of stuff. Solving the "problem", whatever it might be, is the most fun for me. @g2outdoors and @Erniepower have given me a great opportunity to be part of something great and I am grateful beyond words!

Thanks for all of the support!!

FYI @MCDM, your four Versa Straps are at the top of my next batch.

Woo hoo!!! So let me ask you a question so the strap itself needs some settling you said that does not apply to the loops correct just the strap?

Basically it's the overall length of the strap, not each loop. When you sew webbing, especially when you add this many stitches, the webbing shrinks ever so slightly with every section of stitching you add. The process of stitching causes the webbing to draw up toward the stitch itself. It doesn't take much to "reset" the webbing. When you get your strap I recommend setting your platform on several different trees. Stand on the platform for a couple minutes, maybe give it a bounce or two, and take it off. Go find another tree and do it again. The bigger the tree the better, because which ever loop you put over the post, all of the ones behind it will get a good stretch. I've found it only takes a hand full of sets to "reset" the webbing.

Thats what i was thinking thanks

Love my new predatail so far. I’ve only had it for a few hours and only had time to play around with it for about a half hour but it’s incredibly light and makes NO noise!
I’m going to spend some time breaking it in as recommended in the next few days.

Great work @ckossuth!

The only thing I can see wrong with this new piece of gear is that you should have waited for 2019 to release it, then you’d have a chance at the diy innovation of the year that at this point belongs to @Peterk1234 for bringing us the knaider

Ah, who am I kidding. There’s too many good ideas and inventions that are spawned by this group to say any one of them is best; but some do stand out. That’s what makes this community worth being involved with.

@ckossuth , I think I am the last guy using un modded helium sticks because I like straps and the way the sticks nest without having drill out holes. I would love to get rid of the buckle and use these straps on the heliums. Do you think I could use something other than a versa button that would work with these straps in pre existing hole and would allow the sticks to nest without mods/drilling? Thanks!

From what I'm seeing, I would say just remove the factory strap bracket. Then go to Lowes/Home Depot etc and get the pieces to build your own button. All you need is the right length bolts, nylon locking nuts, aluminum tubing to cut spacers out of, and fender washers (1/14" to 1 1/2"). Google "DIY versa button" and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's been done a lot. It looks like there is a substantial distance between the sticks when they're nested so adding a button shouldn't be an issue. I've never owned Heliums. I'm just looking at pics. It looks like it should work fine though.

@Dragsmack Here is an option I personally like. @ 4:30 he starts talking about his versa button mod. Look at how he recessed the bolt head down into the versa button. It's pretty slick and makes for good, solid nesting of the Helium sticks.

Does anyone know if these will work on the Ernies style platform? If so I’m ordering 1 for the platform and 4 for my Beast sticks.
