for my presets, I spent a bit more and got some paracord with the reflective stripe in it. When you are walking into an area in the dark, it lights up the tree like you can't believe.
I love SRT and try to preset as many trees as I can. Here's how I do it currently...Thread 'SRT rope walking in a saddle.' https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/srt-rope-walking-in-a-saddle.57652/Bringing this back up! Old, but GOOD!
How many of you use SRT? I have tried most of the "accepted" climbing systems out there: One Stick, 4 Stick, T2C, Hand Climber Top, ect..
I always keep SRT at the ready, especially when I have my pre-sets in the trees. I've even gone out for an evening hunt wiht SRT and and my throwball with great succsess (wouldn't want to do it every time). Just wondering how many of you use the SRT method as a go-to? I do believe that it is the most safe method for tree climbing out there. especially for an old fart like myself.
It's the offseason and I'm bored. LOL
Have a great day and be safe out there,
