Looking at getting these for a 2nd pair. Last yr I broke 2 pairs in two consecutive days on a Muley hunt. One pair was a Nikon. Since Nikon won’t warranty their stuff anymore, I need another back up pair. I’m wondering if the Copperheads are worth a crap or not…I’ve got a pair of Zeiss Terra’s that are getting fixed. So, I don’t want to drop money on another high $ bino’s, but I want something I can see with.

For under $100 off amazon I would order them and check them out in the backyard, pretty painless returns if they don't meet your expectations. For that price I cant offer a better option either. I've a set of the Diamondback's in 10x42 and am very pleased with them, I've also never looked through a set of Zeiss binos

Id never drop a dime on glass less than 300. But that's just me

I typically agree with you 100% on this. I bought a pair of Celestron Outland X 10x42 for $50 on Prime Day. They had really good reviews, and should work in the pines. I’ll give them to the youngin if I’m not fond of them.

How’d these work out for you? I had my mollie pouch come off my pack that I carried my rangefinder, headlamp, and binos in. Nothing super expensive as things go I suppose, disappointing and mad at myself of course.

Headlamp was harbor freight, loved it so I went in and got another. Rangefinder was $350 but that was 10 years ago when I got it when I was gonna be a golf pro, cheap Amazon one I picked up has more features and is accurate to 40. Binos I don’t use much but would like something but I’m not in the expensive glass category for the areas I hunt currently.

Open to other opinions for inexpensive compact glass, don’t care about brand. Saw some vortex for $100, maybe that’s the middle ground for me.

X2 on the Diamondback 10x42s. I can basically count antler tines through them from a half hour before sunrise right up to a half hour after sunset. Dunno what they cost now but I got them around Black Friday a few years ago for about $150-175.

Vortex Triumph 10x42 are $100. Wonder how much better it is for 1.5x price. Probably well worth it but for how much I use them and how mad I am at myself…

The DB’s are only the second pair of noccers I’ve owned and I don’t see myself upgrading for the style of hunting I do now. I’m sure the $100 pairs are comparable. I would love a $500+ pair just to see what I’m really missing but for Whitetails in Ohio, my $150 pair is already overkill most days.
