I should check the food plot today. Cams will be soon. Been shooting every couple days and getting on the work out train. Was considering a compound, but not right now the ILF setup shoots so well I'll probably stick with it.

Fellow summer hater reporting for duty. I'll still be outside but I won't be in the woods much, and I'll be complaining like all the poor little old Karens do when it drops below 50 degrees. You can clothe up for cold but I've yet to find a cure besides AC for swampazz.

Count me in on this train. Once it gets hot and humid I’m useless. New England has had a long cool spring and early summer, to my delight.

For me the excitement never really stops it just gets blunted by the end of season since I am worn out. I take off a week or two and get back at scouting really hard post season about the second week in February. I walked over 100 miles between February and the end of turkey season at the end of April. I found a couple of great looking primary scrape spots I hope will pay dividends this fall.

I honestly cant remember a single day of my life that I wasnt thinking about hunting or hunting. Planning to go do some more scouting this weekend if at all possible.

I use those cheap $30 Muddy cameras and they work well. The batteries last forever in them. I use Energizer Lithium batteries and can leave a camera out all year long. In remote places where camera theft is unlikely, I take a 5 gallon bucket and split it in half and strap it to the tree above the camera. It makes for a nice hood protecting the camera from the elements and sun glare. I buy brown buckets from Acadamy Sports and sand it a little so to dull the shine. They hide pretty well.

I don't get too worked up about hunting until about mid-August when some the colors just start changing a little out in the woods. The cherry trees and the poison ivy start tuning colors early. Seeing those early signs of fall colors gets me pumped up.

I use the harbor freight orange batteries.
they are awesome and last all season and then some but, unfortunately i wont be using them in Delaware this year lol. They outlawed all trail cams on any public property

I'm planning to hunt out of state with my dad for the 1st time this year so I've been ready for quite some time. Hopefully 16 days until I find out if I draw Iowa...
