I’ve never seen a deer with this condition. Does anyone know what it is?

Likely papillomavirus
Yikes. I didn't know that was such a thing.. They say it's safe. But I know if I shot one, my wife would never eat it.
Is this more common down south?

I can't say for sure as how common it is but it's just one of many viruses deer get.
