I love the .260 Rem. I wish it wasn't almost dead, and that there were more rifles available in that caliber. Sad that it was ignored by the general hunting public--probably the best low-recoil caliber Whitetail cartridge ever developed.

...and I remember getting bashed constantly on forums as a 260 fan for it being nothing more than a bastardized version of a 6.5 Swede. Some time later the 6.5 CM comes out catches on in popularity and now everybody sings the praises of the 260 :D. Even as a long time 260 fan though, I think the 6.5 CM is a better design as it addresses the issues that plagued the 260.

I own both a 260 and a Creedmoor. Love em both but only hunt with the 260. Why?.... the Creedmoor weighs 14 lbs:)

Remington M40A5. Primarily for coyote as the properties I hunt don't allow rifles during deer season. Yes I know it's overkill but I love that rifle and the availability of 308/7.62 if SHTF is of importance

I have hunted with a marlin 30-30 level action since I started hunting. I joined a local club that has more shot opportunities, so I just bought a Savage Axis II in 270 caliber. I have taken many deer with the old 30-30 and am looking forward to something different.

My tree saddle rifle is a 20" barrel TC Encore 45-70, its short, very maneuverable, and shoots through brush if that is the only possible shot. (surprisingly, this has become my favorite rifle). Shooting box over bean fields with a Pre-64 Winchester 70 in 270. Out west, depending on what I'm hunting its Remington 700 in either 7mm Rem Mag or 300 Rem mag.

6.5-300wby mark V Arroyo 4x16 Nikon black x 1000 illuminated warne mountain tech base an rings.

Browning xbolt western hunter 6.5creed cut down to 20in threaded running a vx2 4x12 on it. Omega 7.62 can 140gr Berger Elite Hunter.

My bro killed the suppressor buck this past November.

@Deast1988 how does he like hunting with the can? I’m gonna try it out this year

It’s my can, I went with the trust route. But it’s awesome, hear the whack before the recoil. If it’s 80/100yds away other game doesn’t spook to bad. Similar to a 17hmr goin off with full power hunting loads.

Awesome. I’ve got a Form 1 can I can put on my .300 BLK and .223. Planning on using it on some hunts where there aren’t many long shot opportunities. Looking at getting my .30-06 threaded

Ruger 77 in 357 magnum. Weighs only 5 lbs. In TN I don't get shots over 100 yards anyway.

It’s a blast, I went with the omega 7.62 to cover centerfire .22 up to the .300 win mag.

Remember more powder more speed, more speed bigger sonic boom. The 30/06 is a great round but not sure how it’ll do surpressed. I got a ruger American predator .308 for cheap, I wanna work up a 190gr accubond down load it to 2000/2200fps an see what it’ll do. Expansion thresholds on accubonds believe it’s 1200fps or so, Norma oryx I believe is low same as the aframe by swift. You can go premium bullets, you pay the price for predicted performance. You load these at the bottom of spectrum basically light loads that you know should expand solid even at lower velocities. If the gun stabilizes them you will have a solid hammer to tote to the woods with a very low noise report. I wanna get this .308 finished before season comes in. I got sick of the washers an orings, I’m going male end ASR so I can add remove Can with just a twist. No direct mount adds a lil weight but the simplicity of the mounts make it easy to use.

I only have a couple long guns.

My CVA Acura MR, Remington 700, Remington 870 express 12ga and a Mossberg 500 20ga

.303 British and .308 Ruger Target Grey Frontier.
