Wild edge

Thanks guys. One more question how is the take down process? Are they hard to get back in the bag? Do the ropes get in the way?

I love them . I ordered 8 and an aider then ordered 2 more steps in case I wanted to use them as platform . I had them for over a year now and they work great. I use them with the aider and Reds climbing aider works great.

I find them very easy to get back in the bag. However, I am down to using only five steps and it is stored in a 10 step bag.

No issues here. I use the 5 stepp bag primarily.

watching a wild edge video on you tube they sure are noisy being pulled out of the canvas bag, everything has tradeoffs.

Holy crap! I ordered the whole kit-n-caboodle from Tethrd, and ordered some Wild Edge Stepps to complete the system. I also made a knaider and swaider based on the thread by @Peterk1234. Today I took my stepps out to the backyard for the first time. (I used my arborist saddle and flipline in place of my mantis. I was NOT unsecured.) I am even more excited about saddle hunting now! The stepps will need some practice to be quick with them, but it was nothing a little repetition won't solve. It's a matter of getting the rope just the right length. I'm 240 lbs., so I've got to have it tight. Too tight, however, and they won't cam. I'm going to practice some more over the next couple weeks, and expect to be quick and quiet by the time my Mantis arrives. (It was plenty quiet today, just slow.) I was most surprised by how much fun it was. I think saddle hunting is going to be an amazing combination of tree climbing (which I love) and hunting (which I love). My wife thinks I'm insane, by the way. She saw that I was drenched and dripping with sweat, and asked how I could possibly be smiling at the same time. LOL Thanks, again, to all of the folks giving advice and guidance to all of the new guys on here. Much appreciated!

Saddle hunting is a great way to hunt and for some of us the only way. I was always looking for a better way to hunt. I wish that I had the saddles that are available today back when I started . The Treesuit work really well and so did the Trophyline but nothing like the new ones. The comfort level is great in these new saddles . So enjoy and I do believe that using a saddle will help you to be an even better hunter.
