Woodland annoyances

Good thing Tom hasn't caught on to my tactic of tying empty beer cans to balloons yet!

I once saw a guy licking branches as he walked through our patch of timber... Pretty sure I never saw him in the woods again either. :)
Haha...I meant TOUCHING licking branches. I didn't mean liking branches. Lol

Is it Festivus already? I've got a lot issues with you folks!!!!:)

Haha great! Given our fondness for alumnimum stock it is fitting. Quest for the 1 pound festivus pole anyone?

You need to meet up for a beer? Let it all out, man....

Haha. Yeah, all better now, but beer never hurts. October can hardly come soon enough.

Brown in down on leased land, Nothing against leased land but do you have to try to kill all of the deer in 1 year.

Wow, after reading 3 pages of annoyances perhaps some of you would be a lot happier staying inside. There is nothing you can do about most of your complaints except to conduct yourselves the way you want others to behave. The rest bugs, temps, rain are part of nature.

Dumpy trailers checkered on public land. Usually unfenced so dogs run free

Yeah, definitely make this #8 on my list. Had an acquaintance of mine tag out (6 total) in November last year and he still went in the woods the entire month of December with the intent on "whacking a few more".

1. Trash
2. Trail cameras on public land. This is not legal in WMAs in Minnesota but yet they are everywhere.
3. Tree stands left on public land (agaon, illegal).
4. Flagging tape. They way I read the regulations that is also illegal as people are leaving something of their's on the land.
5. I guess it can all be summed up by people who either don't read the regulations or don't care about the regulation.

I actually like mosquitos because they keep all the above people out of the woods!

I would remove Garden spiders from the orb weaver complaint list, personally. They put a big ‘ol zig zag pattern in their web so we don’t hit them...
another is pet peeve is 100°+ days. Any summer/pre-season scouting around here is done at, or above, those temps. Also, mosquitos can be tracked on radar down here. Those things are the devil.

When it comes to other humans... leaving trash in the woods is my biggest complaint. How hard is it to pack out your 24 pack of empty natty light cans after you drink them?

I believe you are missing the point of the trend. I like a baby with a dirty diaper, we love the baby not necessarily the crap in the diaper.

For me it has to be when a guy tries to hold a conversation with you while your hunting.

I had this happen about 5 years ago. Hunting a cedar swamp, about an hour in the hunt this guy comes walk'in under me and tells me he is check'in "his" spot before firearm season (this was on state property). Then starts rambl'in on about all the years he's hunt my tree and the deer he's killed there...I think he was off his meds.
